Horses First Racing
From London: Take the M3, leave the M3 at Junction 8 and take the A303 west. Shortly after passing Stonehenge turn off onto the A36 towards Warminster and Bath. Follow directions below from the A36.
From the A36: South east of Warminster at the Heytesbury roundabout take the small exit signposted to Sutton Veny. Follow the road into the village. At the pub (The Woolpack) go straight across (slightly right) at the junction -onto Deverill Road, sign posted to Longbridge Deverill. Pass some cottage and bungalows, and The Beeches is the first farm on the left hand side, the entrance to the yard and office is beyond the farm buildings, marked by two large signs and a pair of automatic gates.
From the north on the A350: Come to Longbridge Deverill on the A350. Turn left at the sign for Sutton Veny just before the BP petrol station, with The George pub on your right. Continue for 2 miles, past the trading estate on your right. The Beeches is the next farm on right, entrance to the yard and office is before the farm buildings, marked by two large signs and a pair of automatic gates.
By Rail: The nearest station is Warminster, on the Cardiff to Southampton line. From London, trains go from Waterloo (changing at Salisbury) or Paddington (changing at Bath or Westbury). Taxis are usually available at Warminster station, a 5 minute drive away. Westbury is about 20 minutes away, and direct trains from London Paddington stop there.
