Caroline George from Lambourn Equine Vets is our main veterinarian. She vistis the yard at least once a week and does everything from minor cuts and knocks to blood testing, x-rays, gelding operations etc. Caroline is great fun to have around and is incredibly knowlegable. She has become an essential part of the Horses First Racing team.
Amanda Sutton is our Equine Physiotherapist and has been treating animals since 1988. She was physiotherapist for the British Equestrian Team at the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta and for the gold medal winning British Equestrian Team at the European championships in 1995. She is an international lecturer on the subject of veterinary physiotherapy, has been on radio and television in the UK several times and written several articles and books on her subject.
Amanda is an expert in treating muscular-skeletal conditions, by using a combination of soft tissue manipulation and joint mobilization techniques. She not only treats our horses but also gives us input into their programs. We very much look forward to her regular visits and feel she is a key element in getting the horses spot on for their races.
Matt is the yard's farrier and comes in twice a week. He has been shoeing horses for nine years and has ridden since he was seven.
