New Leyf Runs Creditably

27th February 2010

Image

New Leyf (pictured left) finished a credible fourth in the valuable six furlong handicap at Wolverhampton yesterday afternoon. It was a significant step up in class for the son of Kheleyf and was also the first time he has raced left-handed on an all-weather track, therefore we were satisfied with how he aquitted himself. Rock With You makes her debut tomorrow afternoon at Kempton for owner Duncan Goodwin. The Rock Of Gibraltar filly will come on for the experience in what looks to be a competitive maiden.

Friday 26th February- Sutton Veny Gets Her Hat-Trick

Sutton Veny made it three from three under Adam Kirby at Kempton on Wednesday night, maintaining the partnership's unbeaten record. The filly dictated things from the front again and Adam gave her another perfect ride, much to the delight of her rather vocal followers, the Sutton Veny Syndicate. Jeremy and Adam feel there is still more to come from the daughter of Acclamation and we are very much looking forward to running her on the turf in the coming months. Thaliwarru ran a pleasing second at Southwell yesterday in Tony Bloom's colours and Chief Exec also put in a good run after a lay-off at Kempton last night, coming fifth for Stuart and Kate Dobb.

Wednesday 24th February- Sutton Veny Runs Tonight

Sutton Veny heads to Kempton to bid for her hat-trick tonight. The progressive daughter of Acclamation will again be partnered by Adam Kirby as the pair try to extend their unbeaten partnership. The Sutton Veny Syndicate will be making their way to the course and will no doubt be heard cheering their charge on. The race is due off at 7pm and is a handicap over six furlongs for horses rated 0-85. There are only five runners and we are hopeful for another memorable night courtesy of the galloping grey.

Ivory Silk Runs Tomorrow

19th February 2010

Image

Ivory Silk is representing The Resurrection Partners, Richard Page and Stuart Dobb, at Lingfield tomorrow. The tough mare is set to contest the 0-100 handicap over five furlongs, due off at 5.05. Ivory (pictured left) put in a lifetime best performance on her last start and she continues in good form at home. There are only four runners in tomorrow's race and, providing there is enough pace for the mare and she handles the track, we are hopeful of a very good run from her.

Thursday 18th February- A Mixed Bag

New Leyf Notches Up Another Impressive Victory

12th February 2010

Image

New Leyf was an impressive winner last night at Kempton, taking the six furlong handicap in a style that suggested there is plenty more to come from this son of Kheleyf. The horse was given a confident ride from Steve Drowne, who managed to settle him behind the pace before unleashing him to run home the 1 1/4 length winner. Steve's post-race comments can be heard in Jeremy's Blog.

Tonight we run Golden Ratio and Acrosstheuniverse at Wolverhampton. It is Golden Ratio's debut and we expect this daughter of Noverre to come on for the experience. Acrosstheuniverse is well-handicapped on her homework and we are hopeful that she will leave her poor handicap debut behind her tonight and deliver on the promise of her maiden runs.

Thursday 12th February- New Leyf Runs Tonight

We are looking forward to running New Leyf tonight at Kempton. He runs in the six furlong handicap for horses rated 0-80, due off at 8.30 and is the Racing Post's tip of the day. The son of Kheleyf was impressive in his last start and has been going well at home, so we are hoping for a good performance from him.Tomorrow we look to have three runners at Wolverhampton. Acrosstheuniverse is entered in the six furlong handicap and Golden Ratio and Falcon Six are due to line up in the six furlong maiden in the Golden Ratio Syndicate's and Lady Cobham's colours respectively.

Monday 9th February- Two-year-olds Progressing Well

Our two-year-olds are all progressing nicely and enjoyed a canter together this morning. Jeremy is happy with how they are all going and is looking forward to seeing how they develop in the coming months.

Sunday 7th February- Bertie Buckle Flies The Flag

Bertie Buckle is our sole representative of the weekend at Southwell today, with the son of Bertolini set to be one of the leading fancies for the 7f handicap for three-year-olds. The gelding produced a career-best effort on his first outing at Southwell on his latest start and with the return to this longer trip likely to help his cause, it would be no surprise to us if he were to get off the mark. Hayley Turner takes the ride for owners Iain and Mary Hebbard.
