We have no runners this weekend so Jeremy and Eamonn jumped at the invitation of a day at Cheltenahm for the Festival Trials Day. Neither Bunkered Again or Titus Gent put their best foot forward on Thursday but they will both be out to fight another day.
Our next runners will not be until Wednesday of next week but everyone is being kept busy with all the horses coming back in from their winter breaks.
Prince of Burma proved himself again yesterday winning easily at Lingfield under Ian Mongan. His win brings the tally for this year up to three, and is the third win from five starts this week!!
We have two runners at Kempton tonight. Bunkered Again runs in the 5.05 and Titus Gent runs in the 7.05, with Raul da silva riding both.
Prince of Burma runs today a week after his win at Kempton. He is in the 2.20 at Lingfield and Ian Mongan is back on board. Unfortunately he has a 6lb penalty as he has been put up by the handicappers but he has come out of his race well.
A quiet morning here with the horses in work having a canter around the bowl, we have a few horses coming back from there winter breaks so the treadmill is getting plenty of use.
The winning tally is up to 2 for 2012 already! On Saturday Raul da Silva produced Sulis Minerva perfectly to get in front in the Blue Square Sprint Series Qualifier. It was a fantastic win and we are delighted for her connections.
Ivory Silk runs today in the 2.30 at Wolverhampton, Adam Kirby rides.

Its been a sunny but windy morning here at Sutton Veny and all the horses seem to be feeling well. Greg Drummond is busy with all the breakers, including a lovely looking Kheleyf colt who still has shares available. If you are interested look on our 'marketplace'.
Prince of Burma got the ball rolling for 2012 on Wednesday, winning at Kempton by a length. He was given a good ride by Ian Mongan and the assistance of blinkers seemed to help him.

Laser Blazer ran well on Sunday although the race did not pan out in our favour.
The frost has finally come out of the ground this morning and duties resume to normality. We are very lucky to have the High Speed Treadmill here so the horses can still get all their work done despite the frozen ground.
Gone to Ground runs today in the 7.15 at Kempton with Raul da Silva on board.
Titus Gent ran well at Kempton yesterday to finish fourth under Adam Kirby.

Gone to Ground runs today in the 5.25 at Wolverhampton today with our apprentice Raul da Silva riding, he steps up to one mile and a furlong. Raul has been in fantastic form of late and has been in the top jockeys table for the last few days having won four races from his last ten starts.
It was a quiet weekend on the racing front so Jeremy managed to get up to the local Point to Point at Larkhill. We also had great fun with the Rock and Rollers on Saturday morning who were in for a morning on the gallops.
Street Power runs today in the 5.45 at Wolverhampton this evening with Steve Drowne riding, and has been given the unfortunate draw of 13/13. He is back from a 9 month lay off and therefore may need the run but everyone is excited to see an old yard favorite back on the track. After the torrential weather we have had over the last few days there is now glorious sunshine over Sutton Veny.
We ended 2011 in style with an impressive win by Sulis Minerva, she traveled very well under Raul da Silva, pulling clear by one and a quarter lengths. We have ended the year with a record of 34 winners and our highest prize money to date. Thank you to everyone for your support over the last year, everyone at Horses First Racing is excited about what 2012 will bring with our strongest team of horses yet.
