Street Power bids to make it 4 from 5

03rd March 2009

Street Power (pictured below) has proved to be a tremendous servant to the yard this year and will have strong prospects of making it four wins from five starts in 2009 when he lines up in the 6f handicap at Wolverhampton on Wednesday evening. His progression has been remarkable since returning from a gelding operation and with him seeming to be even better suited by the drop to 6f when winning at Lingfield on his latest start (his previous two wins came over 7f), we would not be at all surprised if he was to win again. Tom Queally, who has ridden Nobelix and Doncosaque to victory for us in the past, will take the ride.

Count Trevisio will accompany Street Power to Wolverhampton where he will line up in the 12f handicap. Horseshoe Reef is entered to run in the 14f handicap and we would be hopeful he will be better suited by the stronger test of stamina that the trip and track will present to him. He was bought as a prospective jumper (he is pictured schooling under Amy Jones below), but this substantial son of Encosta De Lago has shown us enough to suggest he can win a race of this nature before being sent over hurdles. We couldn
