Count Trevisio runs tomorrow

Tomorrow we are likely to send Count Trevisio (pictured on the far side of Chief Exec) to run in the 1m handicap at Bath (20:10). This son of Danehill has unquestionably been frustrating this season, but hopefully this return to the turf can rekindle some of his old spark. Other possible runners this week include New Leyf, Jung and Flying Silks who all hold entries at Doncaster on Saturday. We would want the ground to be no worse than good to firm for them to run and so we're keeping our fingers crossed for some rain.

On Monday, Street Power (pictured below) made his return from a break of two months when contesting the 6f handicap at Yarmouth. Prior to the race there was a slight doubt surrounding his ability to handle the good-to-firm going, but Yarmouth produced a beautiful racing surface and it thankfully posed no problems to him. The bigger problem he had to contend was that the likely pace in the race, For Life, got loose before the start and was subsequently withdrawn, resulting in the early pace in the race being medium at best, which does not suit our strong travelling son of Street Cry. He travelled through the race as powerfully as ever and got a gap when he needed it over 1f out, looking set to pick up and launch a bold bid, only for two of his rivals to drift towards him and stall his momentum, with Ryan Moore not persevering on him thereafter.
