Going into last week we knew it was likely to be our busiest seven days of the season so far and so it proved, with us having 13 runners, including winners at Ascot and Wolverhampton. On Monday evening, Law Of Attraction became our first two-year-old runner of the season when lining up in the 6f maiden at Windsor. He made a promising start to his career, shaping as if the experience would bring him on significantly. The following day, we turned our attentions to the all-weather with two runners at Wolverhampton and one at Southwell. At Wolves, Takizada got proceedings underway when running a satisfactory race in the extended 8f maiden, but it was Chief Exec that stole the show in the 7f handicap. The seven-year-old had given Jeremy his first success in Britain back in February 2008 (see picture below) and he duly obliged again on Tuesday. Having been settled off the strong pace by Clare Lindop, he swung into the straight still at the rear of the field before pulling wide to launch his bid and unleashing a telling turn of foot to win going away by two lengths. He is clearly a capable performer on his day and hopefully things will again pan out well for him and Clare when they line up in the 7f handicap at Kempton on Wednesday evening. Our day was wrapped up with Aussie-import Denton making his first start for us in the 8f handicap at Southwell. Based on what he has shown us at home he can be expected to progress in the months ahead.

We went into Friday
