It has been another very pleasing week at the yard and unquestionably the star performer was Remember Ramon, who gained his third win for us in the 12f handicap at Newmarket on Friday evening. The six-year-old (pictured) came to us having had a string of trainers and suffering from well-documented back problems. Jeremy and the team have slowly nursed him back to his former powers and he has proved a model of consistency for us, with this win being particularly satisfying. Running in the colours of Maggie Findlay, the gelding was racing on turf for the first time since joining us and set off into the lead in typically enthusiastic fashion under George Baker, who settled him beautifully. With the field stacking up in his wake over 2f out, one could be forgiven for thinking he was about to be swamped, but he gamely fought off every challenger that got to his quarters, seeing off the final challenge of Snoqualmie Boy by 3/4
