Close, But No Cigar

With a notable chill in the air in recent days, it is clear that winter has well and truly arrived, but the run of Simla Sunset (pictured) at Wolverhampton on Monday warmed us all up in no uncertain terms.Despite a disappointing first run for us, the three-year-old daughter of One Cool Cat went to Wolverhampton with some quiet confidence behind her and she did not disappoint. Despite the moderate early gallop not suiting her and having been shuffled back through the field approaching the straight, she looked to have quite a daunting task in front of her. However, having been pulled wide by Adam Kirby, she came home very well indeed in the closing stages, finishing a never-nearer 1
