New Leyf Runs Tonight

21st April 2010

New Leyf (pictured below) has his first run for new owner Hong Kong-based James Burdett at Kempton tonight. The son of Kheleyf pairs up again with Steve Drowne (fresh from his win on Street Power last Friday) who has already won two races on him. The pair are bidding to add another win to that tally in the seven furlong handicap due off at 8.50. James' brother Edward will be there to cheer the horse home and he looks to have a good chance of christening the colours with a win.

Rock With You ran well yesterday for the Rock & Rollers. She found herself in a hot-looking maiden and just got caught for a turn of foot when they sprinted for the finish. She now qualifies for her mark and will be back out in a few weeks. Dominium also ran well, coming third under Luke Morris, despite concentrating more on the fillies than his racing. The E Dubai colt undoubtedly has ability and he will be gelded before his next run to help him figure out how to use it!

British Sea Power and Confuchias both head to Southwell tomorrow for the Resurrection Partners and Stuart and Kate Dobb.
