Flying Silks became our latest winner, when he picked up the handicap over a mile at Pontefract on Friday night. The Barathea gelding made it his second win at the course (he is pictured winning there last year under Rob Havlin) for owners Trevor and Carol Coffen under a good ride from Jamie Spencer. The following day Sutton Veny put in a typical gutsy performance to finish fourth at Newmarket in a handy looking 0-95 sprint. The filly was beaten a neck, a neck and a nose and provided yet more excitement for the Sutton Veny Syndicate.
