  • we hope to see some improvement with him. FINE FINALE is our final runner of the day
  • we have an early start at Lingfield this morning with YOU GOT THE LOVE. She will be assisted by blinkers for the first time today as her attitude towards racing has not yet impressed. We hope she will show a little improvement on her fourth racecourse appearance. TOGA TIGER makes his debut for the yard at Lingfield after time off with an injury. I am still learning a bit about the horse and will be happy if he returns sound and well in the morning
  • she pulled up a little scratchy after the race and I will have a discussion with the owners with regard to her future.
  • she is well and home and we are hopeful that she will run well for her syndicate. However
  • as I would hope he can race through the winter. GONE TO GROUND goes to Wolverhampton and has also been fitted with blinkers
  • although I think he will be better at 3 I hope to see more than what he has showed us on the track so far. Last night BARBIERI failed to deliver what I know she can

30th December 2009

MRS PENNY was disappointing Monday night and we will now wait for the turf season to start again. Though she has won on the all weather she just isn't keen on the kick back. All this means we will be pretty quiet over the winter months however I am q...

26th December 2009

Merrry Christmas. I am presently weighed down with copious amounts of ham, turkey and pudding. The ice meant most the time was spent indoors though it was a great day with Kerrie and the kids here at home. This year was a bonus as i didn't have to pu...

21st December 2009

A mixed day yesterday with NEW LEYF showing a great turn of foot and may have looked a touch unlucky while KING'S MIRACLE was disappointing and surely has a big question mark hanging over her head. NEW LEYF has always showed good promise at home and...

20th December 2009

The past couple of days haven't quite panned out the way i had planned but i did learn a valuable lesson last night. CHIEF EXEC ran his usual honest race and probably looked the winner with half a furlong to go. He is in great form and just needs so...

18th December 2009

Long trips in the car give me a chance to catch up with a couple of mates back in Australia via the wonders of Skype Mobile. The weather in Adelaide today is a sunny 28 deg after cooling down from a very hot 40 yesterday. I would be kidding myself if...

9th December 2009

Back in full swing yesterday after a few days in Deauville. No joy at the sales but it was much about catching up with overseas contacts as a buying sortie. The first experience in France was an eye opener indeed. My French lessons at school all thos...

It was a nice resultl ast night as ANNE OF KIEV stormed home to win well at a decent price. The tongue tie looked to do the trick and i look forward to more of the same from her now. Tonight MRS PENNY makes her eagerly awaited return and i expect a p...

The last few days i have been unable to get into the website to update the blog so apologies for the delay. It's been a rather mixed 7 days or so with some below par runs mixed with a couple of decent ones. On Friday nigh i thought BERTIE BUCKLE r...
