  • we hope to see some improvement with him. FINE FINALE is our final runner of the day
  • we have an early start at Lingfield this morning with YOU GOT THE LOVE. She will be assisted by blinkers for the first time today as her attitude towards racing has not yet impressed. We hope she will show a little improvement on her fourth racecourse appearance. TOGA TIGER makes his debut for the yard at Lingfield after time off with an injury. I am still learning a bit about the horse and will be happy if he returns sound and well in the morning
  • she pulled up a little scratchy after the race and I will have a discussion with the owners with regard to her future.
  • she is well and home and we are hopeful that she will run well for her syndicate. However
  • as I would hope he can race through the winter. GONE TO GROUND goes to Wolverhampton and has also been fitted with blinkers
  • although I think he will be better at 3 I hope to see more than what he has showed us on the track so far. Last night BARBIERI failed to deliver what I know she can

Dominium looks promising.....

31st January 2010

DOMINIUM ran a lovely race first time out today at Kempton for Luke Morris. I was pleased with the way he knuckled down in the straight and will come on well for the run mainly from an educational point of view. He was a touch colty at the races but ...

Horses In Good Form

29th January 2010

We had a good morning at Kempton recently with a few of the unraced 3yo's having a good look at the track and they will all be venturing out in the next week or two and i am looking forward to seeing their progress. DOMINIUM will be the first of them...

Full House at Kempton

25th January 2010

Well it sounded like a full house at Kempton on Sunday as SUTTON VENY straightened for home. It was an impressive effort from a mare heading in the right direction. She looked a picture before the race and ran accordingly making it two in a row. Th...

Sutton Veny to provide some joy?

24th January 2010

Yesterday was a poor run from HAZITA however she is a very backward fill yand i didn't expect much from her on her debut. She struggles to stay in touch and we'll look for more ground with her. Today SUTTON VENY bids make it two on end at Kempton th...

It's Not Snow!

20th January 2010

Woke up last night in a cold sweat as i thought i could hear snow tapping on the window. I realised how ridiculous that was but it took me an hour or so to go back to sleep such is the dread of snow at the moment. Anyway it looks ok this morning, wet...

Ivory at her best.....

18th January 2010

I was very pleased with the run from IVORY SILK yesterday. Thing's panned out pretty well for her as the speed was good which gave her a chance to get into the race. The only negative to that speed was the fact the winner was also a benefactor. It is...

Normality again.........

16th January 2010

The big thaw gave us he chance to get back to normal and use all the gallops this morning which has proved a big relief. Some much needed galloping and a chance to blow away a few cobwebs, bot horses and riders so it seems. HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAD! I w...

Always Learning.....

15th January 2010

It is wonderful in this game how new challenges and circumstances force one to think long and hard about things. The recent freeze has forced a change in routine and to be honest it is something i never really had to think about in Australia. David J...

12th January 2010

As promised yesterday i thought it was time to put my thoughts down on the year gone and the plans and aspirations for the year ahead. At the start of the year we put forward a goal to achieve 30 winners and we fell one short of this mark so i can't...

11th January 2010

The thaw is slowly under way here at The Beeches. It will be good to get back to normal. BERTIE BUCKLE went ok today at Wolvs given a poor draw. He looked as though he is starting to get his action together and i expect him to improve again when he n...

7th January 2010

The recent weather calls for some changes to the daily routine with the gallops finally succumbing to the snow yesterday. The treadmill certainly goes into overtime during such a period as we worked about 25 on there today. It is a real bonus to hav...

2nd January 2010

ACROSSTHEUNIVERSE has a go at Lingfield today after passing her stalls test last week. Her work has been pretty good at home and i would be hopeful that if she behaves in the stalls she can run a nice race. It is always tricky with these sorts as all...
