  • we hope to see some improvement with him. FINE FINALE is our final runner of the day
  • we have an early start at Lingfield this morning with YOU GOT THE LOVE. She will be assisted by blinkers for the first time today as her attitude towards racing has not yet impressed. We hope she will show a little improvement on her fourth racecourse appearance. TOGA TIGER makes his debut for the yard at Lingfield after time off with an injury. I am still learning a bit about the horse and will be happy if he returns sound and well in the morning
  • she pulled up a little scratchy after the race and I will have a discussion with the owners with regard to her future.
  • she is well and home and we are hopeful that she will run well for her syndicate. However
  • as I would hope he can race through the winter. GONE TO GROUND goes to Wolverhampton and has also been fitted with blinkers
  • although I think he will be better at 3 I hope to see more than what he has showed us on the track so far. Last night BARBIERI failed to deliver what I know she can

Reputation intact for mine.....

28th February 2010

No the blog is not about John Terry or Wayne Bridge, I may visit this much talked about subject in the next couple of days. Though the bare result may have looked a little disappointing at Wolves I was not phased by the defeat of NEW LEYF on Friday....

Can New Leyf make the step up?

26th February 2010

Yesterday at Southwell THALIWARRU nearly sprung a result after looking none too interested in the kickback early in the race. At one stage with a furlong to go he looked the winner and it looks as though we can find a little race for him somewhere in...

Put down your glasses......

25th February 2010

Those that know me well know i am not always brimming with confidence immediately before or during as race however i had no anxious moments watching SUTTON VENY notch her hat-trick last night. Once she pinged the stalls and bounded a couple of length...

Sutton Veny bids for treble.......

24th February 2010

Tonight SUTTON VENY takes to Kempton again in a bid for a three timer. The race has cut up into a small field and she looks a great chance again. With no obvious pace contenders it looks as though she will have to make the running again though i must...

Small field makes for a rather boring affair......

21st February 2010

Well i guess it wouldn't be the case if we won the race but it was always going to be difficult to beat the favourite yesterday given the racing styles of the runners. The pleasing part of the run was she looked to handle the track and we may give h...

Positives from Kempton....

18th February 2010

It was a case of the good, the bad and the ugly last night at Kempton.ANNE OF KIEV ran well to finish 3rd after getting outpaced slightly at what proved to be a quickly run f race. I felt it was a return to form and put the previous run behind her an...

Interesting night ahead at Kempton.....

17th February 2010

I am looking forward to going to Kempton tonight. Though i wouldn't be too bullish about the three of them i think they all have chances on their best form. ANNE OF KIEV was disappointing on the face of it last time but i think she looks in good for...

Mixed Emotions at Wolvs..

13th February 2010

It was certainly a night of contrasts at Wolverhampton last night as GOLDEN RATIO produced a promising debut only to be followed by a very disappointing run from ACCROSSTHEUNIVERSE. The former filly handled her first experience well to finish 5th af...

New Leyf delivering what he has promised...

12th February 2010

A terrific win by NEW LEYF last night and a lovely ride to instructions. Since being gelded he has really stepped up a gear making up for what i thought was an unlucky previous run. After a couple of seconds of concern at the start when i didn't thin...

It's been a day of contrasts with sunshine, then rain, then snow making the day an eventful one from the word go. The images in the video below are from this morning before the weather hit. We had a busy morning with the crew from SEAWALKER holding ...

Coolmore visit a highlight the week

6th February 2010

I had a treat yesterday with a visit to Coolmore Stud to see the stallions. No one does it better than them and the day was brilliant. The day gives potential clients the chance to be seduced by one of the 25 or so high class horses. If fact it is tr...

Dominium looks promising.....

1st February 2010

DOMINIUM ran a lovely race first time out today at Kempton for Luke Morris. I was pleased with the way he knuckled down in the straight and will come on well for the run mainly from an educational point of view. He was a touch colty at the races but ...
