  • we hope to see some improvement with him. FINE FINALE is our final runner of the day
  • we have an early start at Lingfield this morning with YOU GOT THE LOVE. She will be assisted by blinkers for the first time today as her attitude towards racing has not yet impressed. We hope she will show a little improvement on her fourth racecourse appearance. TOGA TIGER makes his debut for the yard at Lingfield after time off with an injury. I am still learning a bit about the horse and will be happy if he returns sound and well in the morning
  • she pulled up a little scratchy after the race and I will have a discussion with the owners with regard to her future.
  • she is well and home and we are hopeful that she will run well for her syndicate. However
  • as I would hope he can race through the winter. GONE TO GROUND goes to Wolverhampton and has also been fitted with blinkers
  • although I think he will be better at 3 I hope to see more than what he has showed us on the track so far. Last night BARBIERI failed to deliver what I know she can

Anne Of Kiev to tackle Windsor.

26th April 2010

Tonight we head to Windsor with ANNE OF KIEV as she comes off a very good run at Wolvs a few weeks ago. My only query would be the firmer ground for her but don't have an opinion to be honest. She has a good action which i would hope will be ok on th...

23rd April 2010

I know the weather is absolutely fantastic at the moment but i have to say we could do with a bit of rain to be be honest. We have a few horses desperate to find just a bit of ease in the ground to get a run into them. FLYING SILKS is one i was keen ...

Beaten but far from disgraced.

22nd April 2010

I though NEW LEYF ran a fantastic race last night going down to what looks like a smart horse. The favourite was backed as if it couldn't be beaten but we gave it a good run for its money. We'll see how he comes through the run and decide where his ...

Safety issues.....

21st April 2010

NEW LEYF returns to Kempton tonight and we look forward to it. The step up to 7f will be interesting and as long as he settles he should be fine with it. I have noticed in this warmer weather the Kempton track seems to riding looser and throwing a lo...

Tough assignments today.....

20th April 2010

ROCK WITH YOU and DOMINIUM take their place at Kempton today and both look to have drawn competative races. ROCK WITH YOU steps up to a mile which will suit but faces a stiff test. I would expect her to be more suited to handicaps though she is still...

It was terrific to see STREET POWER return in such good order on Friday night at Kempton. Under another cool ride from Steve Drowne he picked them up close home to will well. We will now look to a possible start at Ascot where it may be worth looking...

Another Day.....

15th April 2010

Yesterday was somewhat disappointing when MEDICEAN MAN missd the break badly leaving him with too much to do. As stated in a previous blog it was seen as a lead up to run at Newmarket in a couple of weeks though so as long as he pulls up fine the pla...

Busy week.....

13th April 2010

Apologies for not getting to this sooner but i have spent most the time on the road over the past couple of days following the open day on Sunday. The day was terrific and we must have had 300 or so. After a minor panic attack organising the crowd ...

glorious day at The Beeches...

10th April 2010

What a morning it is here this morning. The place looks in great order ready for the open morning tomorrow and hope the weather stays the same. GOLDEN RATIO ran ok last night and found a couple better. She looked to me to race a touch flat, perhaps ...

A satisfying day.....

9th April 2010

Well i have to say yesterday was very nearly a great day for the yard with THALIWARRU winning well at Leicester and ANNE OF KIEV running a super race to finish second at Wolvs. THALIWARRU was very well ridden by Steve Drowne and he probably enjoyed ...

Another Day.....

6th April 2010

BRITISH SEA POWER and HEDONIST visit the racetrack for the first time today and i would expect them both to need the experience. Both have been late bloomers and though they have worked okay at home it we be a good bit of education for them today. ...

2nd April 2010

Yesterday's April Fools had a few victims frantically looking through the results for the mystery result and having spent the day getting over a bout of food poisoning i was clearly bored. I am looking forward to DOMINIUM running tomorrow. He showed...
