  • we hope to see some improvement with him. FINE FINALE is our final runner of the day
  • we have an early start at Lingfield this morning with YOU GOT THE LOVE. She will be assisted by blinkers for the first time today as her attitude towards racing has not yet impressed. We hope she will show a little improvement on her fourth racecourse appearance. TOGA TIGER makes his debut for the yard at Lingfield after time off with an injury. I am still learning a bit about the horse and will be happy if he returns sound and well in the morning
  • she pulled up a little scratchy after the race and I will have a discussion with the owners with regard to her future.
  • she is well and home and we are hopeful that she will run well for her syndicate. However
  • as I would hope he can race through the winter. GONE TO GROUND goes to Wolverhampton and has also been fitted with blinkers
  • although I think he will be better at 3 I hope to see more than what he has showed us on the track so far. Last night BARBIERI failed to deliver what I know she can

Ominous signs! - 6th March 2010

It is satisfying to go through the work list this morning to find nearly all the horses down to do some fast work. All bar the 2yo's and a couple that raced in the last few day's will all be galloping this morning, a sure sign the turf season is near. The juggling act to pair up and pu the horses in groups is a welcome problem and one i get excited about doing. MEDICEAN MAN, who can i pair him up with, perhaps DOMINIUM, this will give us a guide to how he is going. EL DIEGO is back on track again aftert a string of annoyingly minor setbacks. STREET POWER approaches his first bit of stronger work and ONE WAY OR ANOTHER has been biding his time as we get closer to the turf. WINIFRED JO was slighlty disappointing last year after a promising first run. SHe has strengthened over the winter and is coming along well. FLYING SILKS looks in great form after a good break over the winter. He lost his form late in the season and we may have pushed on a little too long with him. He obviously feels better as he already thrown a few riders this year. Greg Drummond now has the job in the morning with him and if he can beat him there isn't many other options. So far he has been fine.

The Formula One season kicks of next week and i can't wait. Not that Kerrie is too chuffed at the prospect of having to sit through the recording on a Sunday night. Funny, the way she drives i thought she would be right into it.

I don't blame Kerrie, have you tried "Scalectrix"?
