Beaten but far from disgraced. - 22nd April 2010

I though NEW LEYF ran a fantastic race last night going down to what looks like a smart horse. The favourite was backed as if it couldn't be beaten but we gave it a good run for its money.

We'll see how he comes through the run and decide where his next assignment lies.

Today CONFUCHIAS and BRITISH SEA POWER bid to put lacklustre performances behind them at Southwell.

I can't explain the poor performance from CONFUCHIAS last time out and i am hoping to see an improved effort today as his work at home has been good.

BRITISH SEA POWER needs to get some experience under his belt and will be more suited to going handicapping in the future.Tomorrow FLYING SILKS runs at Wolvs and i expect him to run well though he has drawn poorly. He is in good order at the moment and i am looking forward to a good season from him.
