Another very cold morning but have to say it's postcard stuff out there. I spent the day yesterday having a look at a few of the horses due to return to work with the freezing conditions slowing down the horses work until we prepare the gallops which obviously takes a bit longer in these conditions. As good as all weather gallops are they still need to be prepared differently in this weather but ultimately they do a great job. The treadmill really makes life easier though and really is a great tool for all types of conditions.

Compare this weather to the conditions being endured in The Tour Down Under in my home town of Adelaide where the cyclists where reporting temperatures of 51C on the road. I'll take the freeze thanks......they are athletes!

LASER BLAZER was still a touch green on Sunday at Kempton. After taking over in front early he was wayward on the bend the first time before a saddle slipping on a rival runner caused the race to change complexion. Adam then kicked early and he was left a bit of a sitting duck late on. I thought he went well considering and perhaps the addition of head gear might help things next time.
