A disappointing day yesterday as FLYING SILKS didn't appear to relish the heavy ground at Nottingham and RUNNING FLUSH failed to find the line from what was an awkward draw. I do question his intestinal fortitude though and the head gear will go on next time. If there is one!
Have just watched One Way Or Another finish off his preparation for Sat at Donny and he looks in good order. The likelihood of a soft track shouldn't pose too many problems and it looks a competitive race on paper.
I am looking forward to a few of the back end 2yo's stepping out in the weeks ahead. We still have a couple of nice colts with shares available. They will be running in a couple of weeks. It would be a great way to get into a ready made, untried, colt with potential. Anyone would be more than welcome to come and watch them gallop, i am sure you won't want to go home empty handed.
Overnight Bart Cummings won his 257th Group 1 race in Australia. What a marvel he is.To many Australians, he is what the Great Vincent O'Brien is to the Irish and English public. Great to see him still at the top after all these years.
