One might think i am more interested in sport than Racing but i can assure you that is not the case, my passion is spread equally. The fact is, these days i am far more suited to training than playing.
However it was a good weekend all round. The Australia/Ireland game was a ripper though it was disappointing to end up a draw. The league was i great result and Brighton turned things around for a big win on Sunday.
I have always been a fan of football, 'soccer' as we Aussies would know it, however i have not supported any one team. I suppose this stems from the fact we don't really have a team near enough to us to get me interested. However, now that Brighton is always talked about here at Horses First Racing due to Tony Bloom's involvement and the fact he is CEO of the club it seems to make sense. I suppose one needs an attachment or reason to follow a particular team. I have always been one to follow the underdogs in a particular event so the fact the club is in a lower division is great. One thing i do know is Mr Bloom would not accept mediocrity so i look forward to the pending resurgence of the Seagulls.
Back to racing.........i head north to Wolvs today and think we have a chance of getting into the winners enclosure. IVORY SILKS needs things to drop her way with her racing style but she is well and look for her storming home late.
VAMOS has been in form of late and gets his chance in an even event. Luke takes the ride today and is looking forward to he challenge, i am sure he will take the opportunity with both hands and i think he will run well.
