It was a mixed day yesterday with Takizada and Denton both looking slightly outpaced which was not surprising given the fact they will find themselves over more ground in the coming months.
Chief Exec however was anything but when he came with a barnstorming run to win easily at Wolverhampton. The Chief is a horse who needs things to go his way and he certainly got them with the speed on up front and a lovely patient ride from Clare Lindop. He is entered back at the same track next week and provided he comes through the race well, he will take his place.
I hope those that those who managed to get to the maiden blog on Monday might have had a small piece of the 20/1 on offer when I suggested he might run a forward race.
