  • we hope to see some improvement with him. FINE FINALE is our final runner of the day
  • we have an early start at Lingfield this morning with YOU GOT THE LOVE. She will be assisted by blinkers for the first time today as her attitude towards racing has not yet impressed. We hope she will show a little improvement on her fourth racecourse appearance. TOGA TIGER makes his debut for the yard at Lingfield after time off with an injury. I am still learning a bit about the horse and will be happy if he returns sound and well in the morning
  • she pulled up a little scratchy after the race and I will have a discussion with the owners with regard to her future.
  • she is well and home and we are hopeful that she will run well for her syndicate. However
  • as I would hope he can race through the winter. GONE TO GROUND goes to Wolverhampton and has also been fitted with blinkers
  • although I think he will be better at 3 I hope to see more than what he has showed us on the track so far. Last night BARBIERI failed to deliver what I know she can

It will be an interesting night At Wolvs tonight and a couple of horses with what look like great chances.

BERTIE BUCKLE tackles the 6:50 and i given his poor draw he will be ridden with a bit more restraint tonight to let him get home. He was ridden a bit more aggressively than i would normally prefer for the young ones last time and he is better than the finishing position suggests. The penny just hasn't dropped for him yet but it will and he will improve for it.

STREET POWER returns in the 7:50 and looks in good form at home. Wolvs probably isn't the best place for him but it is the only suitable race. The tight turns and the short straight don't play to his strengths but he is on trial to go to Dubai and would need to win well to even entertain the thought. I would like to try him over the mile soon to explore his options in the future.

In the 8:50 ONE WAY OR ANOTHER steps out for the first time on the all weather. I am sure he will handle the surface but the kick back would be a mystery. He works on his own at home as he very keen in his work so he hasn't had the chance to face kick back. Forget his last run as he just wasn't happy on the shifting ground at Donny. If he likes it he will go well.
