A mixed day yesterday with NEW LEYF showing a great turn of foot and may have looked a touch unlucky while KING'S MIRACLE was disappointing and surely has a big question mark hanging over her head.

NEW LEYF has always showed good promise at home and in his first run as a gelding he was settled off the pace and came with a great run only to be stopped in his tracks before running on again to grab 2nd. I am looking forward to see his return run in the hope he can repeat the effort.

KING'S MIRACLE tends to do herself no favours by being hard on herself. I have to say it is a bit of a trait of the Sire, King's Best, to throw a bit of that into them. It is disappointing as she is a nice type of filly and we'll have to have a think about what we do next with her.

SIMLA SUNSET attempts to make it back to back wins today at Kempton. She is in good order at home and though this is a stronger affair than last time i think she can acquit herself well. This will more than likely be her last run until the spring.
