Flying Silks was a non runner today due to the firmness of the track at Warwick. He is going well at home but just needs some cut to see him at his best so we will wait for the right ground. We may send him to Kempton next week where he can get on the polytrack.
I visited the sales at Newmarket today and caught up with a few of the Australian crew ready for the assault on the July Cup tomorrow and i wish them all the luck with it. As a friend of Steven Arnold, Scenic Blast's rider it makes for that bit more interest this year.
Busy day for us tomorrow as Street Power and One Way Or Another take to the turf at Ascot. Both last start winners they look to have chances. Street Power has his detractors on turf but i am yet to be convinced he doesn't act on it and tomorrow will tell us more. A bit of juice wouldn't go astray there either for this big son of Street Cry.
One Way is in great order and i think he can run very well again tomorrow. Both jockeys know the horses well now so i am looking forward to the day.
Running Flush and Cardenio go to Newbury tomorrow evening and both will still need the experience though ours do tend to improve second time out. I would expect Cardenio to get out over a bit more ground once she learns what the game is all about.
