We had a good morning at Kempton recently with a few of the unraced 3yo's having a good look at the track and they will all be venturing out in the next week or two and i am looking forward to seeing their progress. DOMINIUM will be the first of them on Sunday and though the race could be a touch slick for him i would like to see him running on.
Today ANNE OF KIEV runs at Lingfield. The small field and pace should suit her and i am expecting another bold showing. The yard seems to be back fighting again after a rather lacklustre end to the year. Scopes are clean, bloods are good and the horses are jumping out of their skin leaving me chomping at the bit to get into the new season proper.
BERTIE BUCKLE tried hard yesterday and just one better at Southwell but he will be back to fight another day and there is a race in him shortly.
Great to see Andy Murray make the Australian Open final and i for one will be up to watch it on Sunday morning. He really seems to have a love/hate relationship with the English and i know he may have said a couple of inappropriate things in the past but it reminds me a bit of the Australian and New Zealanders. The Aussies have claimed a couple over the years until they fail and we had to drop them like a hot potato.Wherever your loyalties lay, it is going to be worth watching. C'mon Andy.
