• we hope to see some improvement with him. FINE FINALE is our final runner of the day
• we have an early start at Lingfield this morning with YOU GOT THE LOVE. She will be assisted by blinkers for the first time today as her attitude towards racing has not yet impressed. We hope she will show a little improvement on her fourth racecourse appearance. TOGA TIGER makes his debut for the yard at Lingfield after time off with an injury. I am still learning a bit about the horse and will be happy if he returns sound and well in the morning
• she pulled up a little scratchy after the race and I will have a discussion with the owners with regard to her future.
• she is well and home and we are hopeful that she will run well for her syndicate. However
• as I would hope he can race through the winter. GONE TO GROUND goes to Wolverhampton and has also been fitted with blinkers

Spring is in the air....? - 4th March 2010

Maybe it's wishful thinking but i sense a bit of spring in the air at the moment but crikey it's been a long time coming. The extra hours of light really start shifting the coats and before long they will be gleaming.

JESSE JAMES was a little disappointing last night though i wasn't expecting a huge run all the same. I thought he looked a tad reluctant at one stage so will have to do some careful planning with him in the coming weeks.

It was actually nice to get back from the races last night as i risked my life letting Kevin Blake do the driving. I am pretty sure he got his license on the back of a weetbix packet!I think he has spent too long staring at computer screens as he has the peripheral vision of a Mole. Scary stuff.....

We had a couple of Street Power's owners up in the tower this morning, Godfrey and Karen are always good fun and really seem to get the most out of their charge. We are looking forward to another big year from him on the track. The form of Jaconet has really trumped the form line from his defeat at Lingfield last year and what we thought was a below par run was clearly not as bad as first thought.
